Cycling Headbands
They say if you’re not sweating, then you’re not riding hard enough. However, if you’re the type of rider who sweats no matter how hard you’re riding, then you might want to get a cycling headband. Cycling headbands are designed to help keep the sweat out of your eyes and glasses while you’re riding so you don’t have to constantly wipe your forehead or clean your glasses. Cycling headbands are designed to be worn underneath your helmet and are made with lightweight materials that have moisture wicking properties. Some headbands are designed to be tied off at the back and other headbands are designed to just be simply worn as-is. Cycling headbands come in different colors and different styles that you can use for different situations.
Most headbands are for warm weather riding. These are the lighter weight cycling headbands that wick moisture to keep the rider cool. Some of these style of headbands, like the Halo headband, have a water-tight seal that channels sweat away from your eyes. With the Halo cycling sweatband, you won’t have to worry about your sunglasses getting wet ever again. Halo makes both the Halo II Pullover Sweatband and the Halo I tie version.
For the winter rider, there are thermal headbands that help keep the rider warmer and protect the rider from the cold wind. These headbands are built with a little extra material that sits of the ears so they don’t freeze while you’re riding. Many of these cycling headbands feature windproof and insulating materials but also have moisture wicking properties. These are for the rider who doesn’t let the weather tell them when they can ride their bike.
Headbands are the best option for riders who don’t want a bulky cycling cap or a skull cap covering their entire head. Whatever your style of riding is, there is a cycling headband for you.
