No matter what kind of riding you enjoy doing, it is important to stay hydrated. Whether it is hot or cold out, water is necessary to fuel your ride. Many products and accessories exist to help you stay properly hydrated while cycling. From simple water bottles to complex hydration packs, there has never been so many options to keep your water close by. As your rides get longer and harder, bike hydration has never been so crucial.
Water bottles and bottle cages pair nicely to provide a simple yet very effective way to transport your water. On those extra hot days, insulated bottles exist to keep your water colder for longer. If your bike doesn’t have bottle cage mounts, there are many accessories that allow your bottle or cage to attach directly to your frame or handlebars.
Hydration packs are the other common way to keep hydrated while out on your ride. Hydration packs come in many shapes and sizes depending on how you want to wear the pack and how much water you want to carry. Most packs can carry much more water than a standard bottle and they provide additional storage for accessories, snacks, and extra tubes. Many accessories and replacement parts exist for hydration packs too. A replacement valve or new bladder can make an old pack feel like new.
