A Smaller Carbon Fiber Shell With increased Safety Features
The question of crashes in mountain biking is unfortunately not if, but when. We all go down. It's the harsh truth of blasting rocky trails on lightweight bikes as fast as we possibly can. Thankfully for us, the DBX 6.0 Carbon fiber helmet offers world-class protection with 360 ° Turbine Technology. It's an exceedingly lightweight helmet that works to efficiently reduce the effects of impacts. Turbines made of 3D molded Armourgel® energy absorbing material are set across the interior of the helmet. This technology has two main advantages, namely the reduction of rotational acceleration to the head and brain and the absorption of energy upon impact at concussion level. In other words, it reduces trauma to your head and neck in the case of a crash. Leatt also designed a smaller outer shell, to help reduce rotational acceleration to the head and brain, proving that a smaller shell is better. Their multi-density, V-shaped impact foam is molded directly to the outer shell, enabling them to reduce the outer shell size and still achieve the highest level of impact protection. Pretty impressive huh? Ventilation is another feature most riders cannot get enough of. Which is exactly why Leatt's helmets provide ample ventilation and, most importantly, the vents work even at low speeds.
Carbon fiber shell provides lightweight protection, and withstands multiple impacts
360° Turbine Technology reduces 30% of impact at concussion level, and 40% of rotational acceleration to head and brain
Reduced outer shell volume 10% smaller shell transfers up to 20% less rotational forces to neck, head, and brain; reduces forces transferred to the neck
3D In-Molded, V-shaped impact foam molded directly to outer shell, significantly reduces G-forces transferred to the head and brain; increased absorption, slimmer and stiffer structure
Fidlock magnetic closure easy and secure closure system
New Dri-Lex moisture wicking wicks moisture and stays breathable while fighting odor; easily washable inner liner
Neck brace compatible comfortably fits above a neck brace
Maximized ventilation with mesh-lined vents that keep air flowing even at low speeds
Visor breakaway function along with emergency removable pads, add an extra layer of safety to the helmet
