Get the tools off your back and on to your bike. The OneUp EDC (Everyday Carry) is a new tool storage system that utilizes the empty space in your forks steer tube to discretely carry pretty much everything you need for impromptu trail side repairs. The proprietary EDC top cap replaces your current top cap and star nut, and is necessary to use the EDC system. The threaded top cap screws directly into the steer tube. This will require that you have your bike shop thread your steer tube for you, or you can tackle this yourself with the additional EDC tap kit. Use a cassette tool to set the preload on the top cap, and off you go.
NOTE: Installing the EDC Top Cap Kit requires tapping your steer tube and does not work with all forks. You will want to check your FORK COMPATIBILITY prior to purchase.
EDC Top Cap Kit includes: EDC Top Cap, EDC steerer plug, and 1mm, 3mm, & 5mm Headset Spacers (2 of each)

Essential for mounting the Oneup EDC multi tool in your steer tube. It works well and looks great. They recommend 5 mm of spacers above your stem before this cap but I have not found a reason this is needed. If anyone knows tell me more
The kit come with the threaded top cap, but something like to hide the thread made in the inside of the steer tube, doesn't. I think if a fork manufacturer void your warranty because the thread is just because he is avoiding you, the internal thread made to the tube doesn't affect the integrity by itself, all the forces in the headtube are redirected to the weak points of the system, these are the lower and upper zone where the bearings are making contact, the place where the stem clamp isn't a weak point and inside and top of it is the thread.
Yes. The top cap kit they offer has a plug that fills the void on top. It also has spacers and a plufor the bottom tha helps keep the tool from rattling in the head tube. I have kits installed on a couple bikes and move the tool between them, but like the tool so much I may jus order more tools.
