Note: Oneup Components Switch Round Chainrings are only compatible with OneUp Components Switch carriers. You will need a carrier that fits your crankset to use this chainring. Switch Carriers and Chainrings are sold separately, but can be purchased as a complete system on each product's page by clicking on the appropriate icon above the Add To Cart button. Be sure to choose your proper carrier before checking out. Use the item description to choose the correct fit as the images are for reference only.
The OneUp Components Switch system is a two-piece direct mount spider and chainring system. It consists of a direct mount spider (sold seperately), offered in 5 popular mounting standards and 3 offsets, as well as your choice of Oval or Round chainrings ranging from a 28 to 36 tooth count. It's also one of the most efficient and cost effective ways to deal with the increasing number of chainring and crank standards. The rings are removed and replaced easily due to a unique ring to spider interface. With just one tool, a 4mm allen key, the ring is dethatched and slips right over the crank arm. No need to remove a crank, spider or have multiple tools on hand to make a simple gear change. In matter of minutes, dial in your gear ratio, even between stages of your local enduro series on race day.
With these quick-change rings and cheaper replacement costs, Switch has some very enticing benefits over the standard one-piece direct mount chainring set up. Get into a complete Switch chainring system at the same price as an existing direct mount chainring, but now the ring and carrier can be replaced individually and at a fraction of the cost.

This chainring does what it's supposed to do and it's super light. I needed a smaller ring for steep prolonged climbs in Whistler/Pemberton. Worked great!
Just an FYI, I have spank spike pedals and this chainring won't fit over top of the pedal to swap them out. The pedal has to be removed which is a little less hassle than removing the crank. Clipless riders likely won't have that problem.
I was skeptical about buying an oval chainring at first but after trying this they do make a lot of difference. Also being able to change from my chain ring I use around town to the one that I use when I'm riding up in Pisgah without having to remove the cranks is an awesome feature

Do you only loosen the one bolt, or do you loosen all four? In the video, it appears like some magic happens and you loosen one bolt and the other three automatically loosen at the same time. Is this so, or do you manually loosen all four?

BEST ANSWER:I had to loosen all 4. Take a couple out. But the bolts thread into the spider so it is still very easy and quick.
