Many companies are releasing their second or third generations of hip packs, but the Seral is the first hip pack that Osprey has released. This isn’t because Osprey was late to market, but because they have spent a ton of time fine tuning their creation to be exactly right. Osprey wanted to create a pack that featured a perfect fit that could carry a load in a stable manner instead of bouncing around and shifting. This is accomplished with a hip belt that is angled upward which pulls the weight into the body from the top of the pack and a design that keeps the pack above the movement zone of the hips for minimal leg interference.
