Peak protection
Trading in comfort and pedaling efficiency for increased protection is a thing of the past. The Pearl Izumi Summit Knee Guard is a performance knee guard that features excellent breathability and mobility, while still offering quality impact protection. At the heart of the Summit Knee Guards is a thin sheet of D3O Viscoelastic material backed by EVA foam, which absorbs impact energy and has a certified level-one protection rating. The secret behind the D3O pads is that they stay soft and flexible while you are riding and harden upon impact, providing you with both mobility and protection in one pad. The Summit Knee Guards are lighter duty and not as rugged as the Pearl Izumi Elevate Knee Guards, which makes them perfect for trail riding. The main fabric is completely mesh for a super-comfortable and ventilated construction and Cordura four-way stretch fabric covers key wear areas and over the knee pad for durability and comfort. Lastly, internal silicone gripper bands at the thigh and calf ensure the knee guards will not slip when you are riding.
