Somewhere in between a XC and trail short, the Peal Izumi Summit shorts are sure to become a go to garment. Pair them with a liner for added comfort on those longer rides or wear them as-is for the more casual stroll with the crew. They are DWR treated for some weather protection, constructed of a 4 way stretch polyester/spandex blend, a snap closure, and 2 zippered pockets. The relaxed fit gives plenty of room for any evasive maneuvers that are sometimes necessary while out messing around in the woods.
Pearl Izumi has always made quality gear and the shorts are no exception. Love the light weight but durable material. Perfect for hot days in the saddle. Note, do run a little on the smaller side. I'm a 34" but ended up returning the Med for a Large.
I have three other Pearl Izumi shorts, all of them are medium so I ordered a medium. well, they are too small! I noticed the other shorts are made in Taiwan and this one is made in China. It is a shame I can not use them. the fabric looks nice though.
