Great product, low price
My setup is a Gary Fisher X-cal 29er 21.5" frame 175mm crankset (I'm 6'3", 230 lbs).

This was an upgrade from my old crankset with ISIS BB. I decided it was time for something with outboard bearings. This crankset was recommended to me and then I found it on Jenson for such a great price. I didn't care that it was a 2010 model. It installed easily and works to 68 to 73mm widths (has three plastic spacers). This is nice since now I need to replace my frame which may require a 73mm BB. It was a little tricky getting the right chain-line I wanted with my current frame (68mm BB) and crankset with 22/32/bash guard. I'm still using my 3 position shifter. I had to play around with the BB spacers and derailleur to get something that would allow me the desired gear combinations. Another notable thing is that after install, the crankset do not spin very freely, but that is normal until the seals break-in (it's explained in the directions...yes, I read them). Overall, the crankset seems very durable and light enough (I'm not a racer, but I like high performance).

Excellent value
Have been very happy this crankset. Shifts are crisp and they feel very stiff, cannot feel any flex while pounding down rough trails or pedaling up. I weigh 145 and use these on my freeride hardtail. Excellent value for a budget part.

Great Value for what you get
I have one of these on my bike and I bought another for a spare hardtail. I think this is the bast crankset you can buy for the money. It is solid, lighter than most of the cranks it will be replacing and it just works. The stock bash guard works like a champ. Looks good too.

PROS: Durable, Lightweight, Easy To Install, Attractive Design

CONS: NONE

Love this setup!
I put the cranks and bb on an old full suspension KHS XC bike. This setup legitimately makes the bike feel, sound, and ride like new. I was considering purchasing a new bike for a while. Now I don't need to. I forgot how amazing my bike is. This crank set is strong, lighter than most factory components and is butter smooth. Love it, not to mention it looks great.

PROS: Light, Smooth, Quiet, Strong, Looks great

Nice crank for the price
I have the Race Face Evolve on my FS 26" bike and this was a replacement for my son's bike.

This one was a double with a bash guard and that's what we ride around here to jump logs on singletrack. We would never need the gearing of a 44 tooth chainring so the 2 X 9 is perfect with the bashguard. You just need the Bottom Bracket tool and it installs in minutes.

It seems to have steel chainrings and that is great for durability. I typically get 1,200 miles on my alloy chainrings, so this weight disadvantage might be a good thing for durability.

If the extra few grams of weight don't matter to you this is a fantastic deal and I am giving it two thumbs up.

PROS: Inexpensive, Durable, Attractive Design, Easy To Install

CONS: Heavy

Great value.
This was my first external bb/hollow crankset setup. What can I say? I love it. For a scant $50-60, I got a crankset plus a bottom bracket. Took off the granny and am running it on a 1x8 setup for trail and commuting use.

I can't really comment on the lightness, but I do love that the external design adds considerable stiffness (the octa-link style spline and adding about 20mm to the width of the bb) and simplicity to the drivetrain. Gone are the days of slipping square taper cranks, overtightened 8mm bolts, and tank-like sealed internal bb's.

I for one, am sold.

Solid Crankset
Bought this to replace my Shimano crankset after I wrecked the crankarm. Only wanted a single chainring crankset, so I removed both chain rings and bashguard and fitted my own chainring. I ride AM with boulders/drops/jumps/dh. Crankset has held up fine with no 0 give. It's solid and strong.

Great cranks, even at twice the price
Use this on my weekend rider and My daily commuter bike to and from work everyday, even in winter. This set is so much better than my previous X type Race Face cranks, And those were 4 times as much as these. The inner rings are ramped and pinned, but seem a little iffy. Over all So great. Will switch my old rings in when these wear out.

PROS: Looks Nice, Descent Bb, cheap price, Solid, Bombproof

CONS: Inner Two Ring Quality

is this a 104 bolt pattern?
picklescook on Sep 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Are you trying to use this crankset as a donor or something? It's a three ring, not like you need to add a granny gear, just curious why you would want to know the bolt spacing.

Hello, will this fit a 2013 Yeti sb95?

Thanks
Me on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. The width of 9/10 spd chains is the same. 8spd is different. The length of the links is the same. So if you are not going to shift the front chainrings, it will work. But this comes with 2 or 3 chainrings, and it will not shift properly if you have a 8spd chain.
what are the specs on that bottom bracket?
Taylor on Apr 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello Taylor! The bottom bracket included is an english threaded 68/73 external bearing bottom bracket with a 24mm spindle diameter.
