Santa Cruz’s Reserve 30 wheelset is designed to meet the demands of the modern all-mountain and enduro rider. Reserve 30 wheels are just as at home crushing technical backcountry singletrack as they are railing through an EWS course at breakneck speed. Utilizing a unique carbon rim design, Reserve were able to achieve a perfect blend of lateral stiffness, vertical compliance, lightweight design, and a robust construction. This combination makes the Reserve 30 wheelset climb exceptionally well without wasting any watts, but when it’s time to point the bike downhill they corner on a dime and can handle anything you throw at them. The inner rim bed has been specifically engineered to eliminate impact damage, further increasing the strength and durability of the Reserve rims. For rim width, Reserve went with a modern 30mm internal rim width, which pairs perfectly with typical 2.3-2.5” enduro and all-mountain tires. Oh, and did we mention that Santa Cruz offers a no questions asked industry leading rim replacement warranty. At the heart of the Reserve 30 wheelset you’ll find Industry Nine’s phenomenal Hydra hubs. Hydra hubs offer a near instantaneous 0.52-degree engagement, which translates into virtually no lag between when your pedal is engaged and your bike jumps forward. Beyond the lightning fast engagement speed you’ll also find a reliable design that can handle all of the abuse enduro riders put on their equipment.
