As E-MTB’s are becoming more and more popular due to their ability to take riders on longer rides on more challenging and technical terrain, the need for adequate gear to keep up with and meet the demands of riders has risen. Reserve’s all new E-MX wheelset utilizes the best of Reserve’s engineering prowess and offers a truly optimized wheelset designed to handle the abuse of hard hitting E-MTB riding. Starting with the rims, you’ll find that Reserve went with their tried and true Reserve 30 rim up front for its all around attributes and Reserve 31 DH rim out back for its bombproof design. With a 30mm internal rim width up front and a 31mm internal rim width out back you’ll find that this wheelset favors modern 2.3-2.6” tires. Both rims are exceptionally light considering how robust and reinforced they are. Not to mention that they offer the riding quality that Reserve is renowned for with excellent lateral stiffness and plenty of vertical compliance to help take the sting off as you charge down the trail. Oh, and did we mention that Reserve even offers a lifetime warranty with a no questions asked replacement policy? As this is a mixed wheelset you’ll find a 29” wheel up front and a 27.5” in wheel out back. This combination works exceptionally well for longer travel bikes since the 29” wheel helps to offer more traction and control up front while the 27.5” wheel out back improves acceleration and lets you throw the bike around a bit more. If we direct our attention to the heart of the wheels, we’ll find DT Swiss hubs, 350 and 240 hubs to be specific. DT Swiss hubs are renowned for their incredibly simple ratchet design that offers world class level performance, reliability, and all in a low weight package. The choice of a 350 or 240 hub allows you to prioritize weight savings or cost savings without losing out on reliability or performance. All in all, we can say that Reserve’s E-MX wheelset is another knockout wheelset that’ll take any mixed wheel E-MTB to the next level.
