The Dead Spot Eliminator
Even the most experienced cyclists have “dead spots” in their pedal strokes, a portion of their pedal stroke in which significantly less power is being transmitted. Rotor has set out to eliminate this issue by engineering an ovalized chainring, designed specifically to smooth out your pedaling and fill in those dead spots—creating a significantly more balanced, optimized pedal stroke. This helps to generate more power and alleviate rider fatigue. The QXL chainring features 16% ovalization—the most in their Q Ring lineup—and has 5 Optimum Chainring Placement (OCP) points, to really dial things in. Rotor designed the QXL rings with steel shifting pins to improve shift quality, as well as a stiff aerodynamic design to further improve shifting and save even more watts.
