There's a good argument that the SRAM Red AXS Rim Brake Caliper is the top of the line in the rim brake world, and I'm not sure anyone would disagree. This caliper features an aerodynamic arm shape, SwissStop pads, and a quick release mechanism to make wheel install and removal a breeze. Visually, this caliper is an exact match to the company's Red eTap componentry. And a closer look will show that these calipers have speed in mind at all times, on top of the slowing or stopping they do. Check out the reduced frontal area, and even the barrel adjuster has been designed to cheat the wind. These brakes are all about the aero. And they're all about the now. This new design can accommodate modern, wider rim sizes, too.
