The SRAM Red Powerdome X cassette is the most advanced cassette ever made. The eight center cogs are machined from a single block of high grade tool steel, providing increased stiffness while still weighing less than a titanium cassette. In order to ensure a smooth and quiet ride, SRAM has built in special StealthRing elastomer in between each cog, designed to reduce vibration and noise. When paired with the SRAM Red rear derailleur, the Powerdome X cassette delivers ultra-fast, ultra-accurate, and ultra-quiet shifting.
Hollow steel dome makes for the stiffest gear cluster ever at the lightest weight
Heat-treated, high-grade tool steel provide superlative durability and a beautiful finish
StealthRing elastomers and advanced tooth profiles eliminate vibration and noise for a smooth, silent ride
Aluminum cog: lighter, stiffer, stronger due to the choice of design, material and production process
Weight: 135g (11-23)

I have used this same cassette for a couple of years so I know it is a great product. However 20 days after purchase I still don't have my product. In theory I could have ridden my bike to CA, picked it up and ridden home again. I don't live in the middle of nowhere. Not really a big deal, just ironic
I'm on my second SRAM XG-1090 cassette. I have averaged about 2000 miles before I've had to replace it. The cassette shows very little wear but the problem is the lowest gear cog gets loose. It is riveted on to the main body with very small rivets (the display of the rear you can see the rather small pins that hold it together). The low gear is the only cog which engages the freewheel so when the rivets get loose the cassette needs replacement. Other than this design flaw it is a very smooth shifting cassette.
