Shop By Group Set

There is a host of things you must consider when selecting the right component group set for your bike. The first thing you must consider is what type of rider are you. Are you a road rider or mountain biker? Do you ride XC, Trail, All-Mountain or Downhill? Are you going to be racing or are you a casual weekend warrior? What components are compatible with your bike? Do you have a budget you need to stick to? We here at Jenson are here to help guide you through your selection and make your shopping experience a pleasant one.

A bikes group set is made up of several components that work together in harmony to propel you and your bike forward. Starting off you have the crankset which could be considered the heart of a groupset. It is the connecting point between you (the engine) and your bicycle. Every turn of the cranks moves you closer to your destination. Next is the shifters that work in unison with the derailleurs to move the chain across the chainrings and cassette to ensure that you are always in the right gear to tackle the path that is ahead of you. Lastly, we have the brakes. The brakes keep everything under control, and as much as we would like to just keep rolling without stopping, the fact is that coming to a controlled stop is a necessary part of cycling.

The brand of groupset you select is usually dependent on personal preference or what is compatible with your current setup. Jenson carries a full line of groupsets from such brands as SRAM, Shimano, and Campagnolo. Each of these brands work hard to ensure that you are getting the highest quality components that they have to offer. So no matter the type of rider you are, or the bike you have, Jenson can match you up with a groupset that will work best for you.
