A durable, good-looking pair of kicks to accompany your hard efforts on the bike
Whether you're taking a gamble in the breakaway or doing trainer intervals in the garage, Scott's Road Pro shoes are the next step (no pun intended) in taking your road game to the next notch. The slim-fitting design is shaped with a compliant microfiber upper and a new adaptive fit pattern that features a ratchet buckle, and two lower anatomic fit straps that can articulate and conform to the shape of your foot, relieving uncomfortable pressure points while providing a firm foothold for pumping out the wattage.
The ErgoLogic insole features an adjustable arch support and Metatarsal button to reduce forefoot numbness and evenly distribute compression. This Arch adjustment permits proper foot alignment and allows adaptability to individual arch height and fit. Additionally, the injection nylon and glass fiber sole has a stiffness index of 7 and features a replaceable TPU heel tread. The Road Pro Shoes may not be as light or stiff as high end carbon fiber shoes, but if you're looking for reliable ratcheting road shoe that's easy on the eyes, you stumbled upon the right shoes.
Anatomic Centering Strap automatically aligns the top strap with the instep of the foot.
Wrap Fit upper system provides a supportive structure that is comfortable and free of pressure points.
Racing fit features a smaller volume, slim fit.
METATARSAL PAD reduces forefoot numbness and evenly distributes pressure.
ARCH ADJUSTMENT allows for correct foot alignment and adjusts for individual arch geometry and fit.
HEEL CRADLE increases heel fit and properly aligns the ankle joints during pedaling.
Composition: Outsole: Nylon Fiberglass co-injected, Two component PU / Stiffness Index 7 // Upper: Microfiber, 3D Nylon Air Mesh
Closure: Closure system with ratchet buckle & two anatomic fit straps
I ordered my Scott Road Pro shoes from JensonUSA back in October 2017 and love the shoe. I wear size 9 EE running shoes and was concerned whether the Scott Road Pro would give me enough room in the toe box. I did a little research and ordered the Scott Road Pro Shoes White/Black, size 42. The shoes fit perfectly with no break-in and plenty of room for my wide feet. JensonUSA's great price and free shipping was perfect for my budget; I would recommend the Scott Road Pro to anyone.
The fit is a good 42 with room for medium thickness socks. The ratchet works great and with the straps there is ample adjustment. The footbed is a level 7 stiffness(Scott's rating), which to me feels like no flex in the midfoot. Very light with good airflow, no hot foot on the indoor trainer with medium wools socks on. The stock insole was better that expected and I am going to use instead of aftermarket insoles.
I bought these to be use exclusively on my indoor trainer so I was looking for decent but cheap. After a month now these shoes do everything my regular road shoes do, but for a third the price. Very pleased with the purchase.
I bought these because I wanted a reasonably priced pair of cycling shoes after getting rid of my last pair of more expensive ones. I was very pleased when these arrived and th unfortunately so well and felt so comfortable. And the ratchet tightening device works really slick. I’d definitely recommend these for a good priced pair of shoes.
I have several pair of scott pro road shoes and they all run a little long and a little narrow but with a wide toebox. I would say 1/2 size longer than specialized. They are very comfortable as the uppers are soft. The cleat mounting screws are adjustable side to side so you can increase or decrease your stance (q factor) as needed. Most shoes don't have this feature. The sole is very thin and you may need to lower your seat. Also as they are thin they are more flexible than their stiffness rating would imply.
It's a very well made product. I've noticed that the Scott shoes run true to it's size following my running shoes (Nike/Asics). The mid-sole is wide enough (vs a similar sized Specialized/Giro shoes) to be comfortable, but still snug enough for me to feel the power transfer. The clips are fairly sturd.
I noticed that the shoe scratches fairly easily, so I've taken a star off that... but it's purely cosmetic. It works like a dream.
I’m new to road biking and have only used flats for my mountain bike. I really wanted to try clipless and these were a great selection. Great value for the price, I didn’t want to go overboard and get the most expensive and best shoes but I didn’t want to sacrifice my foot comfort either. I am a 10-10.5 US sizing and have a slightly wider foot. I ordered the 44 and they fit well. Still breaking them in but after the 3rd ride I can tell they will be perfect in a couple more.
Good value, good fit, good construction, but, glossy uppers??
These Scott cycling shoes provide plenty of ventilation through scooped opening below toe area, through the sole and over the uppers and sides. The product is well-made and attractively designed. The three fasteners comprise two basic low-tech Velcro straps for low maintenance. The third strap is an easily adjustable click-lever that is easy to adjust while riding. The only concern is the durability of the outer surface of the uppers and sides. They have a patent leather look which might scratch and/or tear if care is not taken. I may add a strip of white glossy duct tape over the toe area to allow me to adjust my pedals when getting on the bike. If the duct tape wear, it can be easily replaced.
