Once upgraded my bike from Sora to 105 was shocked about how 105 system is smooth and quite. Gear shifting take MUCH less time, easier, intuitive and ergonomic (different down-step shifter). This shifter is also looks much more durable than one was on my Soro system! I had one traffic accident where the frame and front wheel are gone but shifters has some scratches only and moved to the next bike...
Since I am not a competitive cyclist I am sure that 105 is the best system for "value for money".
