Shimano's game-changing Di2 technology uses powerful digitally-controlled servo motors, which are built into the derailleur bodies, to deliver clean and accurate shifting, time after time. All Di2 componentry is sealed and waterproof, ensuring performance even in the most brutal conditions.

The Shimano Battery Mount for SM-BTR2 allows you to position the SM-BTR2 battery externally by mounting to your bikes bottle cage mounts. The low-profile design allows the SM-BTR2 battery mount to be used with any frame with a bottle cage mount. Maybe you don't want the hassle of an internal battery, or your frame just won't accomodate, the Shimano Battery Mount for SM-BTR2 is exactly what you need to bring the power outside of your seat tube. Use of the external battery mount also shorts the distance necessary to connect derailleurs and allows the battery to be charged directly if preferred.
