In true Ultegra fashion, the 6870 series takes the pro tested Di2 technology from its steeper Dura-Ace big brother, to a price that non-pros can sink their teeth into. Di2 electronic shifting enables a whole new level of riding that can’t be experienced through traditional mechanical shifting, by offering smoother, faster, more precise and nearly flawless shifting. Shimano Di2 SW-R610 Sprinter Shifters are meant to be used in conjuction with Di2 drop bar shift levers and can be placed anywhere on the handlebar and provide a convenient shift button for shifting while in the drops when climbing or sprinting. At a measly 10g, you can easily afford the extra features for such a small weight penalty.
