A new generation of Deore XT line calls for wider clearance for large wheels and 11-speed compatibility. The XT Front Derailleur features a new design and approach to today's mountain biking demands. Shimano completely redesigned their new system with a new front derailleur geometry called Side Swing. Side swing offers cleaner, more direct cable routing that is sheltered from the elements, larger tire clearance and smoother, easier shifting. With 15mm of increased tire clearance, light shift operation and lower weight, you can reap the gearing benefits of a 2x drivetrain without compromise.
