Keeping your tires pumped up properly is incredibly important when it comes to your bike's performance. Tires that aren't pumped up won't roll as smoothly as tires that are properly inflated. The Silca Pista Floor Pump is a high-performance pump that has a durable, high strength steel barrel and an ash wood handle with hose guides. It features a high-efficiency Silca leather plunger piston design and a brass check-valve assembly. The longer filler hose has an integrated Schrader chuck and the push on alloy Presta chuck has a bleeder valve. This pump is rated for up to 220 PSI.

Actually improves on the original in many ways. Presta/Schrader valve interfaces function flawlessly, best I have ever used. Really like the improved metal cap on the main tube, and the wood handle is a nice touch. Also, the longer hose and hose "keeper" make this new Silca even better than my original one from Italy that still works pretty well. 2 minor quality gripes: Neither the pressure gauge nor the aluminum base are up to the quality of the rest of the pump, and both look a little cheap/flimsy compared to the original. A nicer gauge and machined metal base would make this thing tougher, not to mention making it almost a piece of functional art.
Terrible pump. I used to have one 20+ years ago and it worked flawlessly. I returned this one. This version had many issues. The handle is very small and uncomfortable when trying to pump up to 120 psi. As a road bike pump it should be easy to get up over 100 psi, but it wasn't. It takes a lot of effort to get over 100 psi. The chuck doesn't stay on the stem securely and leaks. Once you get the chuck on and get the pressure to 120 psi, now the chuck refuses to come off the stem. Even after I used the pressure release button, it still was very difficult to get it off the stem. This $100 pump was no better than my general pump and was worse in many ways.
