The Specialized S-Works Recon Lace MTB Shoes are premium gravel shoes that feature durable and lightweight materials, advanced ergonomics and performance features that allow you to perform your best all ride long. First up on the list of performance features, Specialized used their XC FACT carbon plate outsole, which keeps the weight to an absolute minimum and provides a stiffness index rating of 13.0. Next, A unique heel lock system called PadLock™, cradles the heel and is proven to improve acceleration by keeping your heel locked in place. The Recon Lace MTB Shoes incorporate technologies from their BodyGeometry line with an integrated longitudinal arch support, a inbuilt 1.5mm Varus wedge to prevent pronation and a 'metatarsal button', which allows for a more natural toe spread. Next, SlipNot rubber heel and toe tread allow for traction on all types of surfaces in case you have to hop off the bike and have removable toes studs. Finally, these shoes incorporate the popular two-bolt cleat pattern for compatibility with most major pedal brands and have a form-fitting design for a connected feel and comfortabe fit.
