Lightweight tubes are often followed by the phrase "easy to puncture" and are not ideal for trail use. This is true for some inner tubes, but not all. The Tubolite Tubo MTB Plus Tube is different from the rest. The Tubo-MTB combines low weight and increased toughness. For the 29er version, you save upwards of 100g per wheel compared to regular tubes and get twice the puncture protection. The tube also packs into bags easier because of its compact size.
