Standards change in the bike world all the time. New technology is introduced and it ends up replacing older technology. Thru axles are quickly replacing quick release axles. This kit for Yeti "chip-equipped" frames (Big Top, AS-R 5, and 2011+ 575 models) allows you to convert your frame to 12x142mm rear dropout.
