The Aggressive Hardtail

Hardtails aren't just for riding on fire roads and tame singletrack. They are perfect for getting rowdy and having fun on the descents, too. The Marin San Quentin 1 29" Bike is built for aggressive trail riding. It has a Series 2 6061 aluminum frame that uses 130mm of travel on the front. The frame features internal cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket, modern trail geometry, ISCG tabs, and Boost 12x141mm dropouts on the rear.

The 1 version of the Marin San Quentin Bike comes with a MicroShift 9-speed drivetrain. The gearing is perfect for those steep hills and longer adventures out on the singletrack. Tektro M275 hydraulic disc brakes provide highly reliable stopping power so you can descend under control. Marin Aluminum Double-Wall tubeless-ready rims are paired with Delium Versatile tires. With the right tires, you'll be able to set up the wheels tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats.
