Finally put the haters' comments out of my head and bit the bullet! Love this fork and Niner's fork certainly fits well on my custom SS. Previously had the On One carbon and lifting my bike upon install put a huge smile on my face!

Just put this fork on my single speed 29er, perfect balance of rigidity and flexibility. Significant increase in climbing power transfer over my suspension fork, feel like I am flying up the hill!
the fork is where its at. A great way to lose a ton of weight if you only ride gentle XC. But ive taken this fork down some narly all mountain trail and it does a lot better then you would think.

I've only ridden this fork once so far, but if that ride was any indication, I am going to love it. I took it on one of the more technical trails around here, and as compared to the fork it replaced (rigid steel fork), the Niner did not wear out my arms and hands nearly as much. It flexed a lot more than I had expected, so I actually had to slow down on one of the descents, as I was worried I was going to lose control. The weight difference is amazing, as it now takes next to no effort to pop the front wheel up over obstacles.
It also looks plain sexy on my red and black themed Vassago Jabberwocky. Bonus!
FWIW - I had my LBS install the fork, including a new crown race that I ordered. They charged $55 to cut the steerer, and to transfer the brake and stem over from my old fork.

Lightweight and extremely responsive great for Rock gardens and technical climbs best way to drop 2lbs off your bike
Very light and good looking. Still waiting for a chance to get it on the trail...

I have this fork set up on a steel singlespeed hardtail. Previously I had a steel Kona rigid fork. The difference is night and day.
I would not go so far as to say this fork is like having suspension. It is still a rigid fork. However, it is so light, stiff, and smooth, it will transform the feel of your bike. It is also very quiet, for lack of better description. It just feels like it's sucking up some of the chatter from the trail. Many times with the steel fork, I would feel bounced off a rock, or I could watch the fork flex in certain situations. Nothing of the sort with this fork.
The fork comes with a nice plug for the carbon steerer tube, to replace the star nut, and the steerer tube is nice and thick. I am not worried about it breaking. Drop outs are nice and beefy and have good lawyer tabs.
My only comment is the post mounts for the brakes are not perfectly faced; however this is a minor annoyance and will probably not be noticeable to many.

only used for road riding so far and it works great.Have not used for trail riding yet,so i can't say.
i've been pounding 2 of these forks for over a year. at 200 lbs and an appetite for rocks i wasn't sure how far i could push this fork as an all around performer. but i have ridden fast singletrack and technical steep big rocks and drops and have not broken it. while it dosen't allow you any sloppiness in your line choice, it rewards you with super sharp handling. the only place i feel like i need to back off is fast rocky downhill, say over 18 mph.
oh and btw, do NOT look down at the axle when descending! this fork is moving way too much for comfort. but did i say it hasn't broken yet?

Great price from Jensonusa. This fork fit the bill for a lightweight XC singlespeed build. I am eager to ride it more, but even after just a few rides I am enjoying how much more comfortable it is than a steel rigid fork. Finish & machining is top notch.
