I love this saddle. I own a Brooks B17 Imperial on my Xtracycle, and was considering a second for my Jamis touring bike but thought I'd give the Spoon a shot due to the great write-ups I had read. I am glad I did. It is different, indeed from the B17 Imperial, more agressive is the first thing I would note. It is okay for casual rides of a few miles but for more than that you'll need chamois. I prefer it on agressive, longer rides where it simply gives me the control I need while my weight is distributed more in my pedaling than in sitting on the perch. I just love it, and the brown looks nice on my touring bike with leather grip tape. It is nice not having cover it up or make sure it's locked up properly like my brooks. Very, very low maintenance.

Really looking forward to their new product, the SCOOP, which I have ordered for my fat bike.

I've had this saddle on my rigid 29er for a few months now. For the price, it's great. It is solidly constructed, not very heavy and looks really good in brown.

It's not perfect though. I am starting to notice that the brown polyurethane laminate is starting to peel towards the nose of the saddle. But the bigger issue is comfort. I can't say this is a comfortable saddle for me. I'm not sure if the so called "pressure relief channel" is really working, in fact I feel a lot of pressure where such a channel should be! Also it seems quite narrow, my sit bones rest right on the edges of the wings. I know everyone's butt is a different shape, but for me this saddle is pretty uncomfortable (and I never ride without padded shorts).

That being said, I'll probably keep using it. Ideally I'd have something a little better for when the trail gets rough, but it's a great value and is very stylish.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

I got the Spoon saddle from Jenson several years ago and I still love it. Its mountend on a phantom silver + red bits Vassago Bandersnatch.

Saddle needs to be broken into though, it is very stiff. Took me several rides to break it in/get used to it. It is not plush compared to the WTB it replaced but the brown with white stitching looks great.

Its still holding great, no tearing or fraying of the threads despite of a few crashes and over 1200 miles ridden.

Great looking saddle for the price. It's a pretty firm ride, but I'm happy with my purchase. About a month in and it is holding up pretty well, too. Installation took all of about two minutes.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

Overall, it's a pretty good seat. It's relatively comfortable, but my taint still starts hurting after a long ride.

The worst bit is how much it creaks. Haven't been able to figure out how to get it to stop. Other than that it's fine.

Very comfortable and great looking seat. Not the lightest, but great for the money. As some of the other review stated, the brown suede is a bit sticky and I have had my shorts bind to it. All in all, I am very happy with the purchase.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

I bought this saddle for my '91 GT Talera rigid MTB that I picked up for $40. It needed a better saddle and I wanted to keep the cost down. This saddle fit the bill. The saddle design works for me, I've done 5 - 6 hour rides with nothing but the mild soreness which is to be expected after that much time on any saddle. It's firm, which I like. The fit and finish are excellent, the materials are durable and look great. I bought another one for my cross bike and it holds up to my 210lb body landing down on it from running mounts with no problems.
