I love this saddle. I own a Brooks B17 Imperial on my Xtracycle, and was considering a second for my Jamis touring bike but thought I'd give the Spoon a shot due to the great write-ups I had read. I am glad I did. It is different, indeed from the B17 Imperial, more agressive is the first thing I would note. It is okay for casual rides of a few miles but for more than that you'll need chamois. I prefer it on agressive, longer rides where it simply gives me the control I need while my weight is distributed more in my pedaling than in sitting on the perch. I just love it, and the brown looks nice on my touring bike with leather grip tape. It is nice not having cover it up or make sure it's locked up properly like my brooks. Very, very low maintenance.

Really looking forward to their new product, the SCOOP, which I have ordered for my fat bike.

I've had this saddle on my rigid 29er for a few months now. For the price, it's great. It is solidly constructed, not very heavy and looks really good in brown.

It's not perfect though. I am starting to notice that the brown polyurethane laminate is starting to peel towards the nose of the saddle. But the bigger issue is comfort. I can't say this is a comfortable saddle for me. I'm not sure if the so called "pressure relief channel" is really working, in fact I feel a lot of pressure where such a channel should be! Also it seems quite narrow, my sit bones rest right on the edges of the wings. I know everyone's butt is a different shape, but for me this saddle is pretty uncomfortable (and I never ride without padded shorts).

That being said, I'll probably keep using it. Ideally I'd have something a little better for when the trail gets rough, but it's a great value and is very stylish.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

This is a very good looking saddle with a a narrow to medium profile and a somewhat turned-up tail. Right in the middle of the Fizik fit profile. Nice stitching. Not much padding.
The saddle has somewhat "shallow" rails. Compared to my older Fizik, the saddle doesn't have as much leaf spring action. Much less compliance. But, not bad.
This saddle is better for people < 185 lbs.

I bought this saddle because of an article I read on the internet, about this saddle being the best out there. So I decided to try it and it really is a great seat for the price. It is very stylish, confortable and lightweight, for less than 30 bucks or so! Amazing!

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

Bought this saddle after hearing great things about it from a fellow road cyclist. Decided to purchase it as an upgrade to a stock saddle on a bikesdirect windsor. I commute and ride recreationally on this bike and the saddle performs excellently throughout. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and it stands out amongst other saddles as a good blend of performance and style. The layback signage is very convenient when first setting up. There is nothing I can really criticize about this saddle given its price.

Essentially, if you want a great saddle and don't want to spend upwards of a hundred dollars then look no further than a Charge Spoon saddle. A tremendous amount of bang for your buck.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

The fit is a little awkward. The spoon shape required me to tilt the saddle back a bit on the road bike, and the back of the spoon is pretty wide (150 mm). That makes for uncomfortable hips during sustained peddling, and makes the saddle harder to get behind on mountain bikes (I tried the saddle on both). The material is sticky, which could be good if you want to stay on the saddle, but made manouvering difficult.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

I replaced my specialized seat with this, night and day difference. It is very comfortable for having light padding. The shape of the seat makes long rides a breeze. Don't expect a pillow either, its like any seat. Albeit, for the price it's worth it. The brown looks like saddle leather and matches my vans gum grips.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

I am a weekend warrior (and as many afternoons that I can sneak away from work warrior). I'm generally a cross country guy with a bit of free ride flavor. This is mounted on an old Specialized Epic. First and foremost, it is a definite upgrade compared to the old (2004) Body Geometry saddle. I'm sure some of the newer Epics come with fancy new Body Geometry saddles like the Romin or whatever. If you want one of those I'm sure they're great but I'm also sure you're gonna pay for it. This saddle is soft but supportive and seems to be well made. I've only ridden it for a couple months (and in off season Northwest weather), but it appears that it will hold up very well. It's been kinda wet and it seems to shed water somewhat and dry fast. As far as CONs, I'm not sure that the claimed weight is accurate but the seat is pretty light. I love it and I will always consider it a great saddle option if and when I have to replace one in the future.
