After trying every alternative, I've settled on 3Rd Eye mirrors for all my bikes. They work and have a good field of view. The two negatives are:
1. They break after a year or two from vibration. Cure? Buy a replacement. They are worth it.
2. The "Chicago screw" that fastens the mirror head to the bar plug can't be tightened enough to hold the mirror head from moving from minor bumps and vibration. I always replace it with a 5 mm bolt and nut that can be tightened sufficiently.

I have used these mirrors for years on both upright and drop bars with great success. A very good product but the factory mirror position securing screw can be frustrating--underdesigned--has a very shallow slot head which is difficult to adequately tighten and the slot can be easily stripped out. A inexpensive hardware store replacement with a 5mm machine screw and lock washer works great and the morror will not move.
