Worked well for me .. with some thought
People said this thing was useless ... my first attempt using it I agreed. The 'tabs' that held the bearing from the inside slipped off too easily. Then I used a large dia phillips screw driver to push from the inside such it forced the tabs out and against the bearing ID. The the bearing was out in 2 or 3 taps. Worked that way several times now. Without that radial pressure on the tabs, it's useless as they say. But I've avoided buying a $150 blind bearing puller kit thus far.

PROS: Easy to Use, Lightweight

works great
Using a screw driver, pushing through the hub, as mentioned by another reviewer, this tool worked great. A couple of taps, and the bearing was out, with no damage.

Simple tool, that avoids the need for a $150 bearing puller. Great for occassional use.

Does the job
This device is not as good as a "real" bearing puller, but when used with care it gets the job done. I found it best to use a very large flathead screwdriver, to keep the puller in place as you tap.

PROS: Inexpensive

Limited usefulness
To use this tool the bearing needs clear space behind the bearing for the "tabs" to grab the bearing, Therefore, this tool will not work in many cases. Also, most bearing are fit too tight to be "pulled" out. You will likely need a tool to tap the bearing out from the backside.

Do Not Purchase
Don't waste your money buying this product. It is unusable. I could not generate enough force, while holding onto the puller (and keeping it in the hub) to move the cartridge at all. Stick with the tried and true hammer and whatever skinny metal item you can fit into your hub.

PROS: None

I have frame bearings that have ID smaller that 10mm. They are roughly 7.6mm ID and 15mm ID. What tool could I use??
Ryan K on Jun 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This tool will fit a 10mm ID, no smaller. The bearing must be installed with clear space behind the bearing so the tabs can "grab" the back of the bearing. Because of this, the tool will not work on some wheel bearings. Also, most bearings are fit very tightly into the bearing seats and cannot be "pulled" out. You may need to use punch to "push" the bearing out from the opposite side.
