These bars are made with 6000 series aluminum while the non-expert (and more expensive) version is made with 7000 series aluminum. I personally weighed the Flat, 1/2-inch, and 1-inch models of both series as follows:
"Expert" 6000 series 286g, 365g, and 377g respectively.
Non-"Expert" 7000 series 231g, 264g, and 263g respectively.
Both should be quite durable, but you have to pay for less weight. They are nice, attractive, easy-to-use bars.
