SRAM XO Hydraulic brakes bring the very best of XX technology to the XO level. The XO weighs just a handful of grams over the XX brakes. Carbon fiber lever with 2 piece forged aluminum piston also includes a fully adjustable banjo. The top loading pad can be replaced without removing the wheel and aligning the rotor to the pad is a cinch. All you need to do is loosen a few bolts, squeeze the brake lever and tighten the bolts. Easy brake modulation is another feature that sets XO brakes apart. Easily feather your brakes or squeeze them when you need to stop on a dime. Dot 5.1 brake fluid has shown in SRAM’s testing to be 3 times more resistant to fading then with DOT 4. The kit includes everything you need for one wheel.

Although this product works extremely well when everything is dialed, there is however a design flaw. When you make an adjustment on the contact pad, this inherently introduces air into the system. When this happens it's only a matter of time your brakes stop working. Also, the DOT 5 fluid has the ability to absorb water, which for a closed, compressed system is not a good thing. I'm a mechanic and have no problem dealing with the brakes; it's the amount of time I have to invest, which takes you out of the trails.
