An OK rotor in 180mm
They've been a good rotor overall. Warped within a few hundred miles. More amazing the warped or stretched to out of round. I well try 160mm next time looking for less warpage.

Over the past 5 years of riding BB7 brakes on my road bike, I've tried 3-4 different types of 160mm rotors. The Avid G3 rotors are the best I've tried. Braking is smooth, powerful, and quiet. The rotor stays true once initially trued. Pad wear is even.
I would given 5 stars if the rotors had run true straight out of the package. They didn't. But perhaps that's too mcuh to expect from any rotor. All the ones I've tried had to be trued right from the get-go.

I have only ridden with the new 203mm disc twice and so far so good
I only put the 203mm on the front and kept my 160mm on the rear.
After a few adjustments, the braking power has increased tremendously!

They work good, stop good but are noisy despite following break in procedure etc. You get used to them though and I sometimes use them as a 'horn' effect when coming onto hikers.

Nice light rotors with a good looking design. Great stopping power. Very noisy when first installed. Stayed that way for about 10 rides. I was a little upset so I pulled off the rotors and honed them on a 300 grit stone. Solved my noise problems and added even more stopping power. A little upset that the finish on the braking surface was so ruff. Suprised to see that Avid would have let this get passed QC.
