Overall, the workmanship and product design were good but the mounting option is somewhat limited as the bracket provided was not attached or fixed to the pannier. I guess that's why is called a bag and not a pannier.

Since this bag switches from pannier to backpack, you would think that it would be ideal for a commuter, but in reality it's quite a long process to take the bag off your bike, put it together as a backpack, pull out the backpack straps, and secure the bottom straps to the bag. You can't just get up and go. Maybe if you plan to take this bag hiking it wouldn't be a problem, but if you had to do this every day it would be a chore.
The one fatal flaw for me is that this bag does not securely attach to my rack. There are two tiny velcro straps for the top of the rack, which is OK, but for the bottom of the rack there are only two hooks that don't even close! You cannot safely ride fast like that. A large bump will take this bag right off. I had to supplement with bungee cords to make the bag stay put.
So even though I don't use this to commute, it's still useful for me on my small newspaper delivery route. I can carry a stack of 50 papers on each side. I do wish it was stiffer though. The material seems to be made of canvas and as such, does not hold its shape very well. It gives the bag a kind of slovenly look.

This is a nice big bag. However I had to get a new rack to keep the bag out of my spokes. I had a Blackburn rack and have upgraded to an Axiom. This is a strudy bag and it is very easy to fill it up and bring home a load of groceries. IT is nice to be able to just lift the filled bag off the bike and carry everything in at once. It could use a little more secure fasteners and I would not recommend it for long range touring.

I purchased this so I could throw it on my back when shopping and throw it on my bike when riding. No problem with that. Kinda bulky partly because it has a laptop sleeve that's padded. If I needed to carry a laptop it would be a plus. Attaches simply to the rack with velcro. They included a pannier attachment which wasn't needed for this model of bag which made me wonder how much they know their products.

I've bicycle commuted for thirty years, VA coast & mountains, CA coast & mountains, SC coast. My son & I took an hour & a half to figure out the applications - no instructions what so ever. The amount of time to switch from pannier to backpack & back again is extraordinarily long & complicated. On the bike there are straps that flap & hang loosely. The backpack would not last a month of regular usage.

This bag is HUGE, hence the weight could be an issue for the majority of riders who like to haul huge-^ss stuff.
Bag is, however, seem well-built. I like the waterproofing option. It can stand as a standalone overnight/weekender bag.
I really the idea of this bag. I'm only 5'8", hence I wish this bag was about 1/2 or 3/4 from it's current size.

I bought this pannier on sale and it was well worth every penny. I bought this as an extra pannier but ended up retiring my MWave after only 2 months of being used. I use this bag every time I bike to work about 3 times a week. Easy to carry and use as a regular backpack too. Great product and brand.
