The Banshee Spitfire features the slack geometry of a downhill bike with the efficiency and weight of a cross country bike. The Spitfire is a spin on the traditional 5” travel trail bike. The Banshee Spitfire is comprised of hydroformed 7005 Aluminum tubes, and features a tapered headtube which adds strength and versatility. Internal ribbed stays increase stiffness for railing burms and sticking landings.

The engineers at Banshee developed an adjustable travel setting. In the trail setting, the Spitfire has a more conventional trail riding geometry. It was designed to excel on rougher and slower speed trails where pedal clearance and the ability to make tight slow speed turns are a priority. The frame will still be slightly lower and slacker than the average trail bike to keep the bike stable and capable on the more demanding trail sections. When the bolt is lowered into the aggressive trail setting, the Spitfire lowers and slackens out to become a high speed single track predator. The lower bottom bracket and slack angles combine with a more linear feel to the rear suspension and keep your center of gravity low for railing round off camber corners. This also makes the bike feel very planted and stable at high speeds.
