Get back to the roots of mountain biking. The Spitfire was designed with both climbing challenging hills as well as slaying downhills in mind. It is faster, cooler, stronger, and lighter than your buddies bike and will show off itself off at any trail you take it to.
The Spitfire was designed to take a beating on the mountain, and come back for more. Whether you’re a seasoned mountain biker ready to take it to the brink and back, or a weekend warrior the Banshee Spitfire is a barrel of fun. Banshee used hydroformed 7005 aluminum tubes, which are strong and light weight. The Spitfire frame features a tapered head tube which creates a strong and stiff front end. Internally ribbed stays increase the strength and stiffness, which is quite noticeable in tight burms and sticking landings.
Banshee chose components that are performance oriented, durable, yet affordable. Up front, the Manitou Minute pro fork features 140mm of travel and a 20mm front axle. 140mm of travel absorbs small to medium sized rocks, and will allow you to explore terrain that you’ve never thought imaginable. To accompany the high end fork, Banshee chose the Fox RP23 rear shock. The RP23 is smooth and reliable. The air shock features a propedal knob and rebound adjustment. SRAM 10 speed drivetrain components provide you with a bountiful amount of gear options. SRAM X7 components are built to be as strong as an ox, yet is weight conscious. Hydraulic Elixir 3 brakes are powerful and provide smooth modulation. The Spitfire is a culmination of value and quality.

Geometry instills a lot of confidence! Climbs very well for a 6" bike. Of course it descends like a Banshee should - very FAST! I trust it to get me through stuff that I normally don't try on my 4" XC rig. Not super smooth through rock gardens, but certainly not bad. I know there have been complaints re: wear in the bushing/pivot system the V1Spitfire uses, but they have a new V2 coming out shortly that relies on bearings instead, so wait for that one if you have any concerns. I have had my V1 for over a year without any wear issues at all. GET ONE!
