I bike to work and mountain bike for fun and hoped these shorts could be used for both activities. Unfortunately for any long rides they begin to rub in a very uncomfortable way. The padded area has too much material and shifts around on itself especially after a lot of sweating. I took these on a 11 mile long climb and was in serious pain at mile 3. Riding to work 4 miles with 500 feet of elevation or around town with stops for errands etc. they are fine.

Bellweather makes really good products for the price. I have some of their other shorts and jerseys and they are all well made and for the money they are better than many high priced name brand stuff. I think you will not be disappointed.

These shorts are very well made. I have shorts that cost much more and are not is well made or fit as well. The padding is a bit on the thick side but not that bad. You may not like the way they look from the back when you are not on the bike BUT you will LOVE them when you are on the bike.

I've purchased other well-known name brand shorts that were not nearly as well made as these but cost a whole lot more. The chaomis is well padded, the silicon leg gripper is just enough that it doesn't turn my legs into sausage rolls.
I'm actually considering purchasing another pair because the price is so good.
My only very slight con, is that the color isn't a true black. It's more of an off black. Very minor, not enough to deter me from purchasing another.

Just got em today and took a short ride, only 10 miles but know these are eons beyond the other shorts I've used and will buy more. I think they will be great on long rides too. I like the snug fit and padding is great. Very comfy
