This is a no non-sense cassette with the ablity to function without problems. Shifting is great. I am not a weight conscience person, and don't care about weight since this is going on a 32lb mountain bike. For long mountain steep grades the 34 tooth gives you a chance to relax and recover, then shift down and go again. The high rating reflects price/value.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
