I built up a matte black frame with this fork. The fork matches my frame perfectly (which means that it might be a bit conservative if you have a flashier frame). Very lightweight. Comes with a 10mm carbon spacer to install above the stem (as recommended) and with a compression plug. This fork has carbon dropouts, which might not be suitable for people who remove their front wheels often, but it seems plenty sturdy.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Installed this standard 1-1/8" fork on a 2000 Klein Quantum Pro frame. It replaced a proprietary Klein tapered fork so I had to work with David at www.themacaddress.com to design a really nice conversion kit so a standard fork would fit well. The OEM Aeros fork was disintegrating at the dropouts, necessitating the change, but I did not anticipate how much nicer the ride would be on this Easton fork. I guess it was designed for cyclo-cross (so plenty strong) but it is also lighter than anything else I saw at this price point. My only dislike is that the finish isn't as clear-coat shiny as it appears in the pictures. One of these days I'll probably take the time to disassemble it and put a fresh layer of clear-coat on the forks.
