I sat on this for a fifty-five mile ride on the first day, and forty miles of mountain climbing on the second day. I did not wear any padded shorts. It was very comfortable, and there was no chaffing. I carry my bike up and down stairs with the underside of the saddle. The stitching that holds the seat cover onto the underside seems a little weak, but I have yet to see it rip. This is a good buy for a lightweight, comfortable saddle.
