Comments about Rockshox Recon Silver TK Soloair Fork:

I have used 2 of these fantastic value forks. On a friend's bike that came with a Rockshox Dart II, the improvement was like infinite since the Dart II rates an absolute zero for performance. On my loaner bike I bought that came with the Recon Silver, I simply adjust the air for the person using it and people are of course amazed at how well an all air dual suspension bike can perform in the woods. For cross country applications, I don't see the need for anything better. That said, I still think a really nice hydraulic/steel spring shock like my Manitou Splice has a more plush ride that can handle small variations a little better but were quibbling here and the adjustable air is a big advantage. I haven't tried the new Rockshox XC 28/32 series other than feeling them at stores and they are for sure an improvement over the Dart II and may be good for people in that budget range.
