Appears to be a well constructed tire but a note to anyone thinking about purchasing this item.....the picture is incorrect. The picture on the Jenson site shows 4 rows of studs...great deal I thought. When I actually got the tire, there are only 2 rows. This difference results in a significant difference in performance. Just thought I would pass along the info.

If you're not sure if you're good for a winder romp, you might want to try this tire. It's a cheap way to get into studded tires. But if you want to ride winter every year and demand a studded tire, best off getting a better product.

Used these tires for riding in the snowy/icy streets of Denver. They worked great on snow and ice. They were terrible on asphalt. There are better studded tires for asphalt. The studs rust and fall out and wear themselves down. They might be great for trails, but they're not good for roads.

ride everyday to work,hit the trails on the weekend 4-5000 kms per year first year trying studs, very good investment for icy roads, brake in straight line only!!!
