I bought these tires for my Retrospec Beta for use as commuting tires. I have 400m of sand and hard-packed dirt to cover on my way to and from work each day and I didnt think the stock CST road tires would be up to it. The Kenda's however, seem to thrive on it--very good hook-up, even in the sand. The tires track well, better than the Maxxis race tires I have on my XCountry MTB at home. The lateral-stability is really impressive for such a small tire and IMHO is due to the halfway-offset blocks that keep linear and lateral traction continuously. In deep sand they will tend to slide slightly but so will anything else. On the road they hum a bit, and they aren't going to be quite as efficient as road tires. The tires seem to self-clean well in mud and they hold traction well in the wet. I am not a cyclocross racer but I would imagine that these tires would be just about perfect on any course. For commuting they are tough and handle predictably in any situation. I have 210 miles on these today and I have worn away about a third of the tire on the back (I have locked up the brakes a large number of times) and the front still has the rubber fingers in the center of the tire from the molding process--showing almost no wear at all. Excellent product, good price point at JensonUSA. I will definitely be buying Kenda tires for my other bikes.

nice, fast rolling tire, particularly in the rear, I didn't like it as well as a front tire, and it's not good in the wet or mud. But a very fast rolling, light weight tire in dry conditions.

I commute to work every day. My total bike ride is about 7.5 miles after bus and train. The roads have a lot of debris so I recommend the use of a tire liner. After six months of use I have noticed that there is very little wear on them. These tires have exceptional grip even on loose dirt and sharp turns. I have also used them in the rain and they perform just as well as on dry surfaces. I purchased the rear tire first to try it but I was so impressed that I upgraded my front wheel too. I suspect they would not be as good on mud because the blocks are designed tighly together, but then again, I do not do mud. These tires did not add significant weight to my bike and they also look great. I highly recommend this product.
