The Open Coursa Evo CX tire is one of the most technologically advanced tires available. The classic CX herringbone tread pattern gives you traction without a lot of rolling resistance. Vittoria uses two treads when constructing their Open Coursa tires: a harder rubber tread in the center to resist wear and a softer tread on the sides for better grip of the road. A thin puncture-resistant belt lies beneath the tread and the casing uses polycotton and kevlar for strength and durability. It is even available in multiple color combinations to match your bike.

As the brand itself say, this is an open tubular, with the capacity of support 150psi for a clincher, having a rolling resistance the same and for bad luck the cons of it. Competition oriented, wear fast, and expensive, but you canot deny the fact the roll better than most brands.

The ultimate road race clincher. The Corsa Evo CX's are lightweight, durable and have superb road manners.
Excellent traction in the rain too.
These are not long distance trianing tires. I usually can squeak out 2k miles (rotating the front and rear at the 1k mark) from a set.
I've never gotten a flat in a race (knock on wood) and these are the only tires I race on.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Get them for what they are designed for. This tire is by no means made for 190lbs plus people. Not made to last 3000 miles. If you want a smooth, fast rolling tire and can pick it up on sale, GO FOR IT! At 145lbs I run 94psi front/99-100psi rear. With 800 miles, got a few cuts, but no flats(knock on wood) The ride is so worth it.
