Decent pump, the 2 stage feature makes it very easy to pump up a tire quickly. My only complaint would be that it can pinch you finger or palm it your not holding it just right. After a few pinches I quickly figured out which way to hold it.

Pros:
This no-frills pump packs a lots of power in a small frame. It has two settings for the pump, low and high, that facilitate pumping up a tire quickly. That said, though, it still takes a good amount of strokes (60+) to get to a safely rideable pressure on my 2.0" tires. Wth a quick twist of the knurled faceplate on the pump head, you can flip around a grommet that allows you to use the pump with presta or schrader. The body is a durable aluminum construction that is ready to take a beating and continue to work.
Cons:
It's a mini pump. It will require a lot of pumping to raise a tire to useable pressure, but is more than up for the task.
Other Thoughts:
When the time comes to sevice your pump, use a *very* light machine oil on the components. Maybe something approaching fishing reel oil, the Hoppes No. 9 I used stuck until it began to dry out.
Bottom Line:
Another riding essential, an emergency pump is a vital necessity. Nothing particularly stands out about this pump, but the ingeniously hidden widget in the pump head to switch from presta to schrader makes it more than worth it. Remember, you might not have a problem on your ride, but someone else could.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
