I bought this bottom bracket to replace the existing bearings on my Pivot Mach 5. I also purchased the two Park tools (one for removing a bottom bracket, the other for pressing either a bottom bracket or headset bearings)...and with these tools, the BB was easy to install. It provides a nice smooth feel...with no issues yet!

I like the design for ease of installation. Very similar to installing bb30. However, the smoothness of the bearings is not quite comparable to the bb30 standard. A close 2nd however. The future is in press fit bearings

have gone through two of these bb. first came with the bike. lasted 500 miles when nondrive bearings started seizing up. bought the second. within 200 miles nondrive side also began seizing up. these cannot be serviced because you can't remove the bearings from the cups, doing so will EASILY damage your cups or the outside seals, all of which are made of very fragile plastic. damage any of these and the bb is useless. seals are terrible.will try metal based bb cups. ie fsa, but not sure if compatible with xt cranks. xxf from china. will not go back to these. wish chris king makes them.
