It's probably more an all-mountain use (185mm) than cross-country. It's brother 160mm rotor is perfect for use on my hardtail.
It's suprising how much weight the titanium bolts take out. Get rid of rotating mass - that's where it's at.
Pairs beautifuly with MAVIC SLR Crossmax wheels.

I mounted these to my Santa Cruz Blur with Avid Elixir CR's. The combination is amazing. Very strong, consistant, and firm braking power. I ride pretty fast and get on my brakes hard and these rotors have held up to the torture. Havent had any heat warps yet, or bends for that matter, and they have been bashed down on rocks. Only complaint i they are loud when wet but what brake pad/rotor combo isnt? I probably wont ride any other rotor.

Looking to drop a little weight on my bike and add a little bling, I got these to replace my Avid G2 Cleansweeps.
They came nicely packaged with the Ti Bolts as promised. Came out of the box pretty much TRUE with only minor pushing and pulling to eliminate any rubbing with the pads. They've held their true quite nicely over the months even with rough transport and a few crashes.
They worked great with my Avid BB7s and now with my Magura Martas. No brake squeal, normal pad wear, and perfect modulation with no chattering or shuddering.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
