Comments about Magura Storm SL Rotor:

My bike came with Elixir 5 brakes and Avid HS1 rotors. I frequently ride a 5,000 vertical-foot downhill, and with the Avid rotors I sounded like a flock of geese the whole way down. I replaced the OEM rotor with the Storm SL rotor after reading the comments, and what a difference. Now they are perfectly quiet.

Comments about Magura Storm SL Rotor:

Used for cross country with some downhill segments. I have a 160 back and 180 front combined with Magura Louise Carbon breaks.
The breaking power and modulation has always been very good. The difference with the Sl rotors is that my pads seem to be lasting longer and they weigh less than the Magura floating rotors.
                  Very happy.

Comments about Magura Storm SL Rotor:

Use on Salsa 29er(replace stock Avids) for all day epic rides in typically dry and rocky Soutwest desert and rides in high mountains of Southern Colorado. Storm SL rotors are light, reasonably quiet and strong with no noticeable fade on long descents. The best thing about them is that they allow slow speed feathering in technical rock garden sections and in high speed tight single track riding/racing where you don't want to scrub all your speed. Also, they look cool.
