There are no rim brakes on the market that offer this much power, are anywhere near as light (not even the Direct Curve 5's are as lite), or have this level of modulation. I am not bagging on disc's, but these brakes make a very, very strong argument against them.
It is easy to adjust the pads, however it does take a little more time to get them centered. If they fell mushy or underpowered, you pro'ly have them adjusted wrong. No brake rim brake has better feedback either.

The unique design of these direct pull brakes allows a more direct route for the cable, eliminating friction and increasing the feel. I've been using on my commuting bike and another bike, I've been quite impressed. The brakes stop quickly, yet have plenty of modulation. I'm thinking about replacing the rear Avid 7 brakes on my non-disk hardtail based on my experience.

I like the reduction in friction when eliminating the noodle.The braking modulation is much more predictable.Definite upgrade from the factory installed brakes.

As far as I can tell, there are no other v-brakes on the market that have the raw stopping power that these brakes do. The only downside to these brakes is that they are tricky to dial in perfectly, due to the different arm lengths. However, once you get them aligned properly, nothing except disc brakes will offer the same stopping power and smooth modulation.

Very nice front brake compared to what I was on... Night & day difference in performance... Braking power was increased from previous cantilever brake that translated into better handling and overall confidence in downhilling...
