Comments about Cane Creek Canecreek Drop V Levers:
I used these to replace an older pair of Dia-Compe levers on my touring bike.
The pull ratio is more appropriate with these new levers though it takes more hand strength for the same stopping power. Now the lever doesn't come so close to the bar all else being equal.
I was concerned that the more pointed hood (especially compared to the Cane Creek SCR-5) would bother me but it hasn't.
I'm happy with the quality and I like the quick release feature.

Comments about Cane Creek Canecreek Drop V Levers:
PROS:
--Great feel to my hands. Closer to the broader tops of a Campy lever.
--They look very solid and fetching.
--They have their own quick-release built in to them which gives one more option for on the fly adjustment or dealing with brakes without a quick-release
CONS:
--A little pricey compared to some comparable options
--Would be nice if there were replacement hoods readily available. They will wear that long.
Overall, good deal. These are so durable that after thousands of miles of riding them, I inadvertently smashed one of the levers into a fence. The plastic holding the pivot on one side was cracked and I thought surely it was shot. But I was able to pop the pivot back into place and it gave me several weeks more riding while I ordered the replacement and overcame my own laziness in installing it.

Comments about Cane Creek Canecreek Drop V Levers:
Picked these up when I swapped to bar end shifters on my touring bike. This let me get rid of 'problem solvers' and run direct to V-brakes. I also upgraded my V-brakes at the same time, so I can't compare stopping power, but I have loads of stopping power with the new set-up. I'm not a roadie, so I'm never super comfortable in the drops, but these levers and hoods seem better than the tiagra shifter/brake levers that came on the bike (and wore out).
Comments about Cane Creek Canecreek Drop V Levers:
Great levers if you are running V-brakes with drop bars, but they are just rebranded Tektro RL520s at twice the price. If you don't need the lizards molded into the brake hoods, save yourself some money!
Comments about Cane Creek Canecreek Drop V Levers:
I commute in San Francisco, so I need linear-pull brakes to deal with hills and homicidal motorists. These levers haven't failed me yet: whether it's a spooky descent or a response to an unsignalled right hook from some sub-zero IQ driver, I pull these levers and I stop. That's what they're there for, and that's what they do.
Comments about Cane Creek Canecreek Drop V Levers:
Quality brake's I just wish they were cheaper. Also it's a little hard too get these on tight because you need a really long hex too turn the screw so you have too hold the short end.
