This is a very simple device and does exactly what it's intended for: keeps the chain under tension when the rear wheel is removed. It's also helpful if you want to clean/detail the inside of the rear stays/bb/brakes (w/the wheel off). For transporting a bike w/out the rear wheel, this is a must have!
